  The Majestic Theatre is everything that's wrong with Benicia, all in one place. It has amazing potential, it's beautiful, there are a thousand possibilities here ... and the grumpy old guy who owns it won't let it be used for anything. Well, actually, I take that back. Once a year there's a poorly-publicized jazz show or something. Other than that there's nothing.
  
  The Majestic could show art films. The BOTTG could do shows there. They could show second run films for cheap ticket prices ... give the high school kids something to do other than sit at home. Comedy shows! Concerts! There are a thousand options ... or there would be if the owner would let it happen. Sigh.
